September 18, 2017 - "Skyside" is Newton's new brand name for what has long been known as the "Red Label." This medium-to-deep ruby offering is a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 4% Carignan, 2% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Syrah. Delivering aromas and flavors of black currants, earthy black cherries, cocoa and allspice, it is very easy to drink by virtue of its low-to-medium acidity, soft tannins, seamless alcohol (14%) and nicely integrated oak. The middle palate is solid and the smooth finish is medium in length. Enjoy this round, crowd-pleasing Cab on a weeknight (preferably with a burger or any cut of grilled red meat). Drink now-2022.
