    May 6, 2022 - Tasted after a 2 1/2 hour decant.
Almost dark ruby in colour with lovely aromas of sweet black fruit, slightly herbaceous, earthy forest floor & background oak.
On the palate, medium bodied slightly tart black fruit, blackberry/black cherry/blueberry/cassis, oak as cedar & sweet tobacco, medium acidity, medium silky tannins & a long finish to intense, spicy pepper & a chalky minerality.
Probably won’t get any better with further cellaring, but it is absolutely lovely now. Definitely will be buying the next available vintage!

January 6, 2020 - Full disclosure: I really adore this winery & their team. I always stop here for a bite when I am in the hood - plus I can charge my car there, as well!

Cellar time has been good to this one ... I now smell tobacco with abbreviated pepper notes. However, black currents also vie for air in the glass - fighting with the wood spice that is still here after 90 min. decant.

Everything about this CF is big: structure, fruit, pH, acid - yet, somehow it has developed into a wine so graceful & supple.

As I contemplate its pinnacle date, it is perfect for grilled lamb chops on a Monday evening.

September 6, 2019 - Nez unidimentionnel, en bouche donne l impression d une certaine lourdeur. Fort différent des autres fois que je l ai dégusté. Mauvaise phase

March 9, 2019 - Outstanding wine from an outstanding winery! "you can't make good wine from bad grapes" - the owner told me once.

Beautiful CF here: deep ruby color. Grass & pepper nose, with a hint of smoke.

Mid to full body in the mouth, rounded, deep, black fruit, earthy, vanilla and a superb finish - albeit thinner than expected.

Every sip of this glass was a delight. Many years to go on this one - if you have room in your cellar.

    Note: decant for 60 minutes.
