October 30, 2022 - Medium purple in color with a medium + intensity nose of pure blue fruit with a light kiss of vanilla oak. Bright ruby rim concealing it’s 8+ years age. Medium acidity with blue and black fruit on the palate. Full body with well integrated medium tannin. Medium + finish. This is an outstanding wine.

October 16, 2021 - Experience with prior vintages of this wine leads me to believe this starts to enter into a good drinking window at around 6-9 years. As expected, this has shed its youthfulness and has started into the development phase. Although the predominantly black fruits are primary, there’s plenty of structure to carry this wine for many years. Drink now with a long decant and hearty food; or cellar for the next 5-8 years.

August 21, 2021 - Decent Spring Mountain cab - but certainly behind others I’ve tried (Keenan, Pride, Schweiger, Smith Madrone). Still delicious and a short decant helped it along. One bottle remaining and based upon structure of this bottle I would assume it has a few more years in it for a window.

September 1, 2020 - Decanted one hour but recommend two for it to blow off some vegetal notes. This is showing with delicious dark fruit liqueur, a bit more disjointed than the bottle I had two years ago. The Napa 2014s are a difficult vintage for me and I'm hoping they will blossom at some point. I'd hold bottles a bit longer although it's by no means bad now.

April 24, 2020 - I have sampled two bottles thus far.
Not impressed with first bottle , but enjoyed the second trial. Heavy berries and cherry accents . Very good alone or with foods/cheese.
