March 25, 2022 - At this stage, it is a bit of a boring wine. Quite fruit driven, plummy and well, cordial like. Body was a bit all over the place and not well balanced. (Oak, fruit and acid are not well integrated and there is a bit of greenness). I don’t think this is going to get better with age alas.

    Drink now or 2+ years.

    December 22, 2021 - Pale garnet
Clean nose, lots of dried red fruits, cranberries, red currants, strawberries, violets, forest floor, mushroom. Developing.
Dry, high acidity, low fine tannins, high alcohol (14.5%), medium body, long finish.
Very good quality Pinot noir, still developing in flavour profile but not sure it will improve further. Alcohol is slightly more evident and balance isn’t as good as it was, but I’m more sensitive to high alcohol wines now.

January 3, 2020 - Have Ashton hill estate Pinot for many occasions. It is always one of my favourite Aussie Pinot because of good QPR, just hk$260.
Dark fruited and herbal (on the good side) on the nose, med body, round, good depth of flavour and acidity on pallet.
Overall, it is not an elegant type of Pinot but I just felt warm and satisfied every time when I am drinking it. :)

November 25, 2018 - Great nose - rich glacé/black cherry, strawberry, rich stalkiness, mint, alcohol. Palate is rich and heavily acidic, strawberry, red cherry, earth, lovely long finish.

October 7, 2018 - Pinotpalooza (Carriageworks, Redfern): farmyard over red berry and spice with sweet red berry on the palate.
