October 9, 2020 - Strange Wine. When I opened it, I decanted it into a ships decanter. Within the first hour the wine tasted somewhat tannic with medium fruit and a reasonable finish.
After 2 hours it changed still a little tannic with some fruit but suddenly there was a burning on swallowing. Like the alcohol had come to the front.
By the third hour the fruit had disappeared, the burning had gone and all you tasted were the tannins.
Wouldn't buy again. Poor QPR. -

September 23, 2017 - New cabernet sauvignon from the Houyi Vineyard on Pritchard Hill. Made by Julian Fayard. Full bodied, wet black fruit with a ripe red edge. Excellent quality and length. Not sure what it costs, but it can't be cheap.
