July 1, 2017 - Purple with just a hint of orange rim. Black and red Cherries, spices, great purity, some medicine, light but intense in its aromatic profile with only hints of tannin. This is going to evolve for another 5 years in a positiv way, in textbook cellars even longer. - 2022+

April 20, 2013 - Celebrating Cobb's birthday (Phil's place, Chicago IL): Nose: Lighter and aromatic nose with tones of red fruits, cherries, floral tones, spices, and some red berries. There is nice complexity, but it's lacking some depth.

Taste: Medium bodied with medium acidity. Nicely balanced with good tones of red fruits, cherries, red berries, and some spices. This is very easy on the palate though it is lacking depth.

Overall: This is a very good beaujolais. It is lacking some depth, but the tones are very nice and well balanced.

October 31, 2011 - This showed much better than the same Vintner's 2005 Fleurie Domaine des Quatre Vents. Some fruit and mineral on the nose and palate. It took some effort and concentration to bring the remaining fruit and mineral to the fore. Resolved tannn. ample acidity. Better with food, lacking stuffing/interest as a stand-alone wine.

November 12, 2010 - Drinking fairly well, though the expressive nose blew off after about half an hour and the wine seemed to tighten up (or fade) red fruits, minerals, lingering tannin is all the finish it really shows

September 30, 2010 - I vaguely remember some reviews way back when suggesting the 2005s would stand up in the cellar... And sure enough, this bottle drank admirably last two evenings. Nice fruit and decent structure.
