February 3, 2024 - Getting our Dutch On! Jeroen and Isobel visit New Hope... (Chez Walker - New Hope, PA): Third wine of the evening. Wine purchased at the property after a tasting last Summer. Chilled, PnP, drank over about 45 minutes.

Medium gold color. Nose showing orchard fruits, apricot, honey, beeswax, citrus. Smooth palate repeats adding pear, quince, mineral and saline. Medium body and finish.

Rounded and smooth wine, a lot going on. An excellent alternative to Chardonnay for my (ABC) guests...:)

December 24, 2023 - Can't judge this one fairly as I was just getting over covid and had no sense of smell. But the wife liked it very much.

July 25, 2023 - Had this at Tablas recently and liked it so much I bought a few bottles for home. One of a few lovely white Rhones enjoyed while visiting several Paso vineyards that day.

Color/App: medium-deep corn-yellow core/gold tints; medium viscosity. Really nice, expressive nose that gained significantly as it warmed toward room temperature: golden apples and star jasmine, honeysuckle, ginger and an attractive nuttiness. Medium-bodied with good acidity and freshness here. Palate of stone fruits -- think nectarine/peaches with a little lychee and ginger and honey again. Reasonably long finish and shows quite well for a seven year old new world Roussanne. A bit understated compared with others but I think that may be partly why it is aging so gracefully. Perfect now but will probably hold a few more years.

June 8, 2021 - I think this needs more time and will be a vintage that shows better with aged character. Many of the Tablas Roussanne & Esprit vintages show nicely early and aged, but this came across a bit simple the first night and was better the second night. No doubt about beautiful fruit and high quality on either night, but lacking complexity particularly the first night. So I advise a nice decant or waiting a few (3-7) more years. 12.7% abv. I wonder if that especially low abv deprives it of texture and depth?

May 8, 2021 - Drank my first of these last evening with a turkey soup. Wine was delicious with lots of structure and a complex flavor profile. Love these TC white Rhone's.
