August 4, 2020 - W some salmon dish at 45G. First CoVid dinner w Helen at the appt in 6 months. This is a terrific bottle, very balanced interesting and elegant, indeed very burgundy like. Great long finish. This will live except maybe for the alcohol. Very good.

May 15, 2019 - Drank this alongside a premier cru from Maranges at the very southern end of the Cote de Beaune. They were almost identical. That's to say a California Pinot that was nicely balanced, precise and clean on the palate, and not overdone like so many Cal Pinots (e.g. Meomi). Late note so I can't be more precise other than to say I would buy this Mondavi again.

December 27, 2018 - very nice nose, but palate and finish are lacking/closed... hoping this one improves with age... Napa Pinots rarely measure up to Oregon or Burgundy, and this one doesn't either, but Mondavi has made a nice effort here; 100% new oak
