May 2, 2022 - This has aged really well. No oxidation note and no brown ting. Tannins were totally integrated and this was smooth as silk. Cherry, rose, tar and some spice. Long finish. Wotn for several of us. No sign that this is going downhill and I think it will go another 10 years. 24 years old and all I can say is wow. 94 -95

September 18, 2021 - No detailed notes, but this bottle was very good and consistent with previous notes. My last one.

December 6, 2019 - Going well with chorizzo and scallops spaghetti. Opened up a lot after 30 minutes.

November 16, 2019 - Poured for me by friends Marty and Jessica and paired with Marty's delicious wild mushroom risotto; believe it was a PnP but not positive. Nice nose with florals, particularly roses, and some cherries. On the palate, consistent notes with tar, a bit of iron, a foresty element and lots of tannins and acidity. Consistent with many Barolos, the tannins and acidity integrated well, and quickly, and the fruit fattened. Still had a very youthful feel and seemed to still be improving up to the last glass, so it should have several more years of excellent drinking, even though I'm not sure it will get better. Highly recommended.

October 5, 2018 - 90s Barolo night at Bishan. Tasted blind. Drank from bottle over 3-4 hours. Bottle stood upright for >1 day prior this time.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, garnet colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of dark earth, dark red plums, stony minerality, smoked meat. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), succulent smooth ripe high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark red plums, dark red cherries, deep tar earth, smoked meat, stony minerality. Very long finish.
Very good quality. Has certainly improved since the last time I tasted this a year ago. More integrated and focused now also. Drink and enjoy.
