February 23, 2024 - One hour decant. Deep inky purple color. Fantastic nose of blackberry, raspberry, earthy herbs, purple flowers and cocoa. Full bodied palate with ripe black cherry, stone fruit, violet, graphite, mocha and herbs. Tannins are firm and grippy with a very pleasant long finish. Drinking very well.

December 18, 2023 - Rich, dark fruits. Chocolate, blueberry, black licorice. Long finish, lightening up with subtle celery notes at the end. A really nice wine. Has a lot of life left in it, probably decades, best day 5 open.

November 25, 2023 - 4th Saturday Group: Uptown Brown Bag (V&M's): Double blind. Dark color. Aromas of chocolate, plum, cocoa nib and eucalyptus. Full-bodied, slightly tannic and a bit hot. Black fruit flavors dominate. Guessed '14/'15 Napa cab sauv. (R&S)

November 11, 2023 - Really nice but I think it suffered from following the 2015 Caldwell Platinum and 2013 Cardinale.

Not surprising as was from Washington and had the typically softer tannins than wines from Napa.

September 14, 2023 - A bit shocking that this bottle is now selling for $400!

Bubble gum on the nose. Cinnamon, dark fruits on the palate, murky. Pleasant sting of alcohol. Long finish.
