February 7, 2020 - Beautiful wine despite its Bourgogne designation. Nose is very MSD, and the body has a lot to offer. To bad this is my last of this vintage. Really enjoyed it over the past few years... on to ‘16 and ‘17.

April 5, 2019 - Spiced ripe black and red fruit compote, fresh and leathery on the nose. A serious nose for a generic Bourgogne, the aromatic structure of wine is big but closed for the time being. This needs an hour for the nose to open up. Palate is equally dense and closed at first, with flavors hiding behind the structure and toasted spicy notes coming from the oak. There is good potential for this wine when it eventually opens up and settles down in a few years’ time. Finish is clean with fine tannins. The freshness in the fruit, together with the soft acidity, will allow the wine to age gracefully for a while. 89-91 pts.
