July 26, 2021 - Totally legit. Served blind to me, and I guessed a decade younger.. MSR spatlese was a good call. Still youthful and green, with lime peel, lychee, minimal petrol. Great stuff

December 21, 2016 - Lots of white flowers, wet rocks, elderflower, lime pee. Creamy palate, key limes, elderflower syrup but don't worry it's not sticky sweet or anything. Not insanely complex but everything that is there is perfect.

June 22, 2016 - Asian pear, lime, and too much sugar for me to perceive any of the really interesting things that make Riesling great. Good acid balance, though, and at least it's refreshing. Somebody suggested "If you don't like this then you don't like spatlesen" and I accept that.

June 15, 2016 - Killer, mature riesling, one of my consistent favorites. This is lacy and subtle with gentle scents of petrol, lime, rocks, but with great sneaky length and intensity. Very lime margarita. Gets better with air as the finish gets longer and the acids come out, but remains barely sweet (for a spatlese) and ever so elegant and restrained. Loved it. Drinking great now but seems like it will hold even as the sugar fades.

June 14, 2016 - This was already in my glass as I walked in the door. I'm not sure if I even greeted my friends, as I saw the glass shimmering in the corner of my eye, grabbed it, 'called' Riesling, then 'called' fantastic Riesling, then proceeded to fawn over it. So, if my friends are reading this, please forgive me. Oh, and this was blanquito's bottle, and my experience was the same as his, except some freshly sawed wood weaved in and out like some magician's trick. At least it was consistently magical ;-)

Served double-blind; in such a beautiful spot right now and for the next 8-10 years.
