  November 14, 2020 - Given this was aged in a brand new french oak foudre for 419 days, and then finished with a year in new french oak barrels, it almost felt wrong drinking this a mere 280-ish days after purchase. But instead it felt so right. This wine has a barely-in-control wildness to - kind of like its maker - and has so much going on all at once it's hard to keep track of everything. At it's heart though it is just pure, delicious grenache, with all the fruit and savory notes you dare to expect, but which are so rarely delivered. Maybe I'll be able to wait 419 days to drink the next one, but probably not.
