July 3, 2021 - My last bottle and still going strong. Very well balanced and a rather light and elegant style for Maremma. This wines drinks too easily... ;)

February 26, 2021 - This is a fairly lean and acid driven style, and to my palate says “Tuscany” and “Bordeaux blend” in equal proportion. The fruit profile is definitely not Sangiovese but the medium body, bright acid (M+), and grippy but restrained and balanced tannins are reminiscent of Chianti.

Dark red fruit gives way to a more savory character of leather, rosemary and pine, a hint of smoke/toast, and a perfumed, musky-spicy-floral finish.

This is as good as you could ask for from a $20ish Supertuscan, and very food friendly. I’m a Chianti Classico loyalist but I enjoy the occasional side trip to a wine like this and I’d buy this again in another cool vintage.

Drinking well now but no hurry, it should be good for several years still. 6.7/10

September 25, 2020 - Drank alongside the 2014. This vintage is clearly the better one. First time the 2013 shows a bit of evolution. The fruit is riper and more structured, and this with a lovely balance.

August 5, 2020 - Magnificent acidity, paired with red fruits and spices. Great wine (as always) and great QPR

May 31, 2020 - Again a great showing with lots of red fruits with the focus on cherries. As usual offering a beautiful acidity. The spiciness is almost at the level of their Monteti. The long aftertastes is very full. What a great QPR!
