March 20, 2021 - Lots of fruit, looked forward to pouring the next glass. Held up well against the steak.

May 23, 2020 - I think grenache (and pinot noir) with a modest amount of whole clusters is a match made in heaven. This is in a great spot right now. I only wish I had a couple more bottles! I can never seem to keep my hands off these long enough. So good. Nice job, Steve.

March 14, 2020 - Really drinking nicely with palpable red fruit, light tannins and a little pepper. Great mouthfeel and nice finish.

September 13, 2019 - What this wine is currently lacking in aromatic intensity it makes up for in complexity. Great mid-palate density, with an exotic flavor profile of strawberries, pomegranate, orange peel and an herbaceousness akin to sagebrush. It has softened considerably over the past 7 months and is in a great place right now, with just a little bit of tannin left to be resolved. I'll give my remaining bottle another 6-8 months.

I think the whole cluster inclusion really raises the interest level for the PMV Grenache, and I would welcome this as a standard treatment for the flagship wine.

February 15, 2019 - My 5th bottle of this wine. On the palate, this has the purity, stuffing and intensity to be rated a bit higher, but the nose is somewhat subdued. It started off very closed at cellar temperature, but as it warmed in the glass, it began to give off the classic exotic strawberry fruit for which Grenache is known. This is still very young and needs time to settle in. I only have a couple bottles left. Hopefully I can keep my hands off them until this is truly ready, and I hope that more aromatics will be emerging by then. (91-93)
