February 4, 2024 - Fantastic wine. Good now but can still rest in the cellar.

October 7, 2022 - Decanted - deep dark garnet red color, again fair amount of sediment on the side the bottle laid, at 30 minutes the nose as hints of fruit and grape + there is flavor mainly at front of mouth, so still quite tight and needs more air. At 60 minutes has opened well with fruity grape mix (cab & petit) flavor and a lingering flavorful aftertaste. Evacuated and kept 1/2 a bottle to the next day. While it lost a little fruit in the flavor, it fully opened, was smooth and flavorful through whole mouth. Seems like it needs to breathe 90 to 120 minutes before drinking when first opened.

December 24, 2021 - Decanted (75% Cab, 25% Syrah), abundant sediment in bottle (1/2 of bottle on side!), deep dark purple, initially tight and alcohol dominated, 45 minutes later - red berry/cassis nose, flavor is rounder and smoother but still tight is hard with some tannin. Needs more breathing. At 75 minutes, flavor is strong at front of mouth with tannin tightishness in middle and now finishing smoothly with good aftertaste - overall becoming grapy (Cab + some of the Syrah) in flavor. Probably would be best if it breathed longer or remained unopened for another couple of years with breathing. Poured last at 90 minutes - great nose (berries & grape), good flavors but still some tightness with tannin mostly softened and that good finish.
