February 23, 2022 - Terrific example of NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Prototypically citrusy--but less prominent grapefruit than other new world Sauvignon Blancs. Deep deep Golden in color, a beautiful wine. Paired wonderfully with grilled lemon chicken,

    September 24, 2021 - Medium straw. Filtered
Aromatics medium +. Grass, green herbs and gooseberry. No oak
Palate has medium + body. Acid medium +. No phenolics. Alcohol medium. Grapefruit, peach, lime and grass. Probably some residual sugar.
    Finish has medium length. Balanced
Dry glass notes of herb and gooseberry
What surprised me was the rather "greener" side of this NZ Sauvignon blanc. I expected much more of a tropical fruit blast, and was pleasantly surprised. I paid $14 and would buy again
    Drink now

    September 2, 2021 - Double blind tasting
Medium straw color clearing at rim
Medium plus/ Intense aromas of citrus/ gooseberry and fresh herbs - no oak
Medium plus and rather broad palate of grapefruit and herbs - considered this lees creaminess at first but I think rather a bit of RS?
Medium plus jagged acidity and medium alcohol with moderate length
Dry glass notes of gooseberry and herbs
I called this Sancerre - aromatics not at all tropical IMO and I found the pyrazines here to be greener and more herbal then typical NZ SB.
The rounder palate still has me thinking - really not what I expected especially based on the aromas - best guess is a bit of RS
With the recent riper Sancerre vintages these are getting tougher to distinguish
Really nice wine - drink now

August 4, 2021 - From magnum. Surprisingly fresh and lively still. Plenty of quite sophisticated fruits, maybe grapefruit, melon, pear. Lots of fine acidity. Very clean. Decent length. Versatile with a variety of food.

July 31, 2021 - Far better than average New Zealand SB, similar to my experience late last year. Went well with the charcuterie, hard cheeses and crackers. Solid wine.
