June 14, 2020 - Quest to complete my tasting of all DOCG of Italy; 6/5/2020-8/31/2020 (Home in NL and holiday home in Maremma / Italy): Ripe currant and cherry with some plum, red licorice and hints of cranberry and sage. Full bodied with silky, dusty, mouth coating tannins some balanced acidity and ripe fruit. The finish is long and extending seamlessly with a dusty tannic feel to it.
Very expressive, smooth and balanced. It is my first encounter with this wine but I believe it is at its peak right now. It just feels utterly balanced and expressive! -

March 15, 2018 - Deep, intense ruby for this Taurasi. The nose is a succession of red fruits, ripe cherry, plum then dried flowers followed by some toasted notes and some sweet spices and tobacco.
In the mouth, rich and full bodied, dry and slightly tannic. Good freshness and sapidity. Medium long finish.
