  July 30, 2014 - Full, ripe, will plenty of structure left. Soft tannins, smoke, and earth add to its complexity. Really aged nicely and not at all heading downhill. Will save my last bottle for a couple more years.

  October 10, 2009 - Decanted for several hours. Very aromatic nose of black fruit, licorice, and garrigue. Nice. Very silky mouthfeel, with nice acidity. Boysenberry and cedar with black cherry on the palate. Missing some necessary tannins, almost resulting in flabbiness (NB: more noticeable tannins the second day). But, the acidity keeps everything in check. Didn't even notice the 14.5 alcohol. Lots of cedar/oak on the long finish, but not overpowering, just a nice condiment. Really nice wine. Upping my score a couple of points to 93 based on the second day's tasting.
