March 23, 2024 - Fabulous. Like other reviewers - amazing VFM. Complex but also crowd pleasing. I'd guess at 3 years or so yet.

February 14, 2024 - Very lively, expressive and full of energy. Juicy, almost fresh apples, brioche, marzipan, honeycomb. Quite full-bodied, complex and perfectly balanced with fresh acidity. Beautiful champagne just entering its best stage. First-class!

January 3, 2024 - Retail $80. 50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir. I purchased three bottles of this wine from Garagiste for a little over $70/bottle two and a half years ago and this was the first we've opened. Fantastic. Yes, 2008 was a phenomenal year in Champagne and Boizel is a fine producer, but still, this is top-notch. A deep straw color with magnificent aromas of bruised golden delicious apple, almond croissant, marzipan, and even a hint of orange rind all characterize the nose. The palate is equally complex and enticing with the fruit and acidity in harmony allowing the yeastiness to come through. Perhaps even more remarkable is the finish, which is not only long but also rich, layered, and complex. A superb wine.

December 17, 2023 - Very lively, plenty of CO2 left. Beautiful nose of lemon curd and lime zest, membrillo and shortbread. Fantastic palate loaded with lemon/lime zest, lemon curd, fresh pastries and membrillo with electric acidity and long, lemony/saline finish. Fresh as a daisy, drink now-2027 94

November 25, 2023 - Soft, mellow, beauty. Round smooth and no wrinkles. Low level hum of electric lemon curd.
