Community Tasting Notes 2

August 16, 2016 - Tuesday Night Double Blind Tasting, $40 and under (Bin 75): Nose is tobacco, spice. Some color change, almost chocolate center. Peppery, seems almost Syrah. Some mineral, tannin/acid are resolved, made me think it might be Northern Rhone instead of Bordeaux. Overall, really impressive for a 20+ year old Medoc, just what you want from great vintages. No reason to hold any longer, but not fading out either. My #2 wine of the night and group WOTN.
