September 27, 2021 - Beautiful wine. Decanted off ample sediment 2 hours in advance, but continued to open up in glass over several hours - last sip is shaping up to be the best. Paired very well with grilled lamb chops. Delightfully complex nose with wide range of notes. Palate keeps opening up as we go along. Would say this is very much on the elegant end of the syrah spectrum.

January 18, 2018 - Similar note as bottle consumed 12/13/2017.

January 18, 2018 - Smooth, balanced and very much in harmony; very typical with all the tell-tale notes, olives, bacon etc. - not at fault to find, just lacks a liuttle bit of excitement, maybe. As allways, here. #PB

December 13, 2017 - Lovely Cote-Rotie, Burgundian in style. Floral and light-red fruited, notes of broth and smoke. Lacks the wild side of, say, Jamet, but is a great example of what the appellation can deliver.

September 22, 2017 - No decanting required, wine opened up very quickly. In the glass only a slight brownish edge. Nice nose. On the palate good acidity, fine tannins, cherry and a touch of plum. Overall nicely balanced and good length. A bit behind it's peak and a bit less power due to the weaker vintage (2000).
