Beerzebub Likes this wine:
October 20, 2013 - Fairly aromatic - plums, berries, apples, lilac, stony earth, tar. Basically the same elements on the palate, though somewhat more austere than the nose in the fruit and flower departments - good mineral-earthy depth, and a plum-cranberrylike combination of tart acidity and moderately grippy, powdery tannins. Light bodied, juicy, quite drinkable. Good stony minerality in the finish, completely dry and appetizing. Drinking well, and a good value at $18 with eight years of age on it.
After the bottle has been open for 2 hours, there is richer fruit on the palate which seems to help the balance and overall cohesion, while staying light, fresh and tart. Quite tasty. -

March 17, 2011 - Pleasant rich floral aroma. Spice and red fruit dominate the palate with a full prune finish. Quite nice, quite drinkable. No flaws, but lacks the complexity and backbone that would make this a little more special.

October 5, 2010 - Nose is reminiscent of pink flowers. Nice perfume. Great black cherry, blueberry, and other bigger flavors than the delicate nose would indicate. Nice creamy finish, lush and pleasing.

November 14, 2009 - darker cranberry color, dried flower and spice bouquet, silky textured, dry, but complex flavors of dark fruit, mineral, black currants, dark and intellectual in style, balanced well, very nice on the mouth, showing at it's best right now

September 21, 2009 - Fairly saturated red that is nonetheless beginning to brick at the rim. Black fruited for Beaujolais, and lacking a bit of verve, although with air a small degree of vivacity enters the picture. Ripe flavors of clove, chocolate, and mulberry are similarly sluggish to start, but the silky texture sneaks up on you but ultimately charms. Shows the ripeness of '05 though not the structure of that vintage's most memorable examples.
