    December 29, 2020 - From 75cl, decent cork, decanted 30 minutes. Exactly as noted on 17.12.2020. 89P

December 17, 2020 - From 75cl, good cork, opened but not decanted 2 hours. An excellent bottle, bright red-fruited, undemandingly delicious, just as a good Chianti should be. 89P

November 19, 2020 - From 75cl, rough cork with deep crevices at wine end, but unlike the previous bottle, this one isn't ruined by TCA. Felsina should advertise this product with the slogan "buy two bottles, get one in drinkable condition". Otherwise basically as recorded in my previous TNs, but at the lower end of the 87-89 range in terms of bottle variation. 87-88P

November 19, 2020 - From 75cl, optically good cork. TCA. My second undrinkable bottle of this case. That amounts to a 16.66% extra tax (so far) on an otherwise good-value table wine, and a criminal waste of glass, transportation capacity and initially good wine? Why doesn’t a reputable producer like Felsina seem to mind? Why do screwcaps still not seem to be an option in Bella Italia, and DIAM pretty rare, despite all other improvements in italian winemaking from North to South over the past 15-20 years? I was about to buy several cases of Felsina's Colli Senesi 2018, but have just cancelled that decision, as I can buy fine, crunchy, red-cherry-fruited German Spätburgunder for the same effective price, sealed with screwcaps and therefore less stressful to serve in every possible way.

October 3, 2020 - The nose is restrained with hints of pomegranate and wild strawberries.
The pallet is well balanced, integrated and long with a clean dry finish.
Not a big fruit profile with cranberry notes.
    A reasonable drink early Chianti
