  August 4, 2023 - Decanted and drank over two hours: Showing way more advanced than a bottle two years ago. That one was hot, rustic, crunchy and needed time to resolve. Tonight the wine seems to have reached maturity and maybe on the decline. That said, it is a good mature wine. Cloudy sediment that gives the wine a hazy quality. Bricking on the edges. Nose smells of spearmint, fresh thyme, green peppercorns, red currant, smoky plum, iodine with a touch of soy sauce. The palate is more expansive than the nose. Tons of savory red fruit, slightly sweet and shows that garrique character. Paired perfectly with grilled balsamic-glazed lamb rib loin chops (lamb porterhouse) and herbs. 88-90

  November 26, 2017 - From memory: Surprisingly pale ruby coloured. Juicy red fruit and a dash of vanilla on the nose and palate. Impressive depth and concentration. Balanced despite high alcohol. Good, but perhaps not good enough to justify the stiff price-tag. Probably best between 2019 and 2022 (89-91 points).
