January 17, 2020 - Garnet to ruby in color. Med+ acidity and fair amount of alcohol. Med+ body with a somewhat “creamy” mouthfeel. Not much tannin. Black cherry, bitter cocoa, oak is somewhat evident, some floral notes, dried rose petals, some earthy characteristics. A bit more masculine in profile and would guess this will age for some time as it has the structure. Would hold for at least 3-5 years until opening as I think the alcohol will fade and the acidity and richness will balance out a bit. If drinking now would decant at least 1-2 hours.

Punching well above it’s cost. Nice mix of old world and new. Dark ruby color for a Pinot.
Great mix of cherry skin and mineral, hint of wet slate, hint of wet wool, really nice subtle points on the nose. Really impressed with this wine. More going on in this Pinot than most high end Cali pinots. Wet rock, subtle strawberry on the nose. I just ordered another case of this. Excellent cost performance. What?? Secondary characters coming out, wood, smoke, watermelon on nose. Mouthfeel is almost creamy, tannins are there, but not out of control. A bit of sediment. Great wine. I am a big fan. Alcohol is a bit high at 14.5.

June 4, 2019 - I was surprised how sweet this ended up, even as it retained its energy, high tones of orangey citrus, and base of saline inflected tangy red fruit. 25% stem inclusion here but I'd say this is a candidate for 50+%, or something else to provide structural grip and savory balance. Of course that would make the wine too young to drink now.
