  October 4, 2018 - CabFranc from TX...12.5 ABV. Great dark ruby color in the glass. The nose is spicy (bell pepper and peppercorn) but the fruit keeps it balanced (black cherry, rhubarb) with additional smoked cedar notes. The punch with this comes in the mid palate as the front is quite light and the finish isn’t overly lengthy. Similar notes on the palate with the fruit tasting more tart and a savory tomato like note. There is a unique candied blackberry note I’ve never come across before. A really nice expression of CabFranc from a talented winemaker.

  September 16, 2017 - Paired perfectly with thin-sliced parmesan pork chop. Tx reds can be tricky, and there are only a few who really know what they're doing to get the fruit but also just a bit of the terroir. The nose of this wine is a little bit of funk, a little bit of tart, healthy amount of black cherry, and a whole buncha perfumed flowers. The front is youthful, punchy and absolutely gorgeous brambleberry fruit with a hint of plum and cinnamon baking spice to the middle. Finishes with a hint of cola and a lot of black cherry. Nice wine, and will definitely appreciate for the next 2-3 years, and last another 5-6.
