August 2, 2009 - Not a good situation when the hope is that the bottle was flawed as I have one left. If #2 is as undrinkable, I will revise my review.

July 2, 2009 - drank a bottle tonight with friends, need more time.. nice bouquet but need time to open up; told to keep it overnight and try the balance tomorrow.. will see

July 2, 2009 - need more time..., classic, too young, but would definitely try my other 2 bottles much later.

March 3, 2009 - Wonderful nose... However it had a medicinal / metal taste... Quite unusual wine. I think it actually might be responsible for a canker sore. I would have scored it lower, however it tasted better the second day - but still not great.

Burgundy-Report

(Groffier Robert - Père et Fils Bourgogne Pinot Noir) Shiny medium cherry-red colour. Sweet cherry skins over an earthy base, perhaps a transient note of oak toast. The palate has a little more density and sweetness vs the Bourgogne Epineuil that came before it. The acidity is pretty good with a not-bad finish, though frankly this needs just a little more to provide excitement. Well crafted and a nice wine but just a little dull
