June 10, 2023 - NNT wine club, June 2023: Maturation comparison (Brisbane): Seemed a bit muted next to the 2022. Primary fruit a bit lacking. Ginger spice oak character.

May 14, 2023 - By the glass. Century-old vines. Elegant aromas of lemon curd, fresh limes, orange blossoms and sugary yogurt. Complexity without limits. Palate is abundant, tasty, delicate even, with good length and fully digestive with that trimmed 12.5 ABV.
Very difficult to find a vulgar bottle in the cellars of Tyrrell’s.

December 10, 2022 - Pretty much popped and poured and drank over a couple of hours. No formal notes, just a great food wine. Balanced with an acid line that should have this drinking well for a long time.

August 19, 2018 - Bloody hell this is good. I refuse to believe Hunter Valley Chardonnay can get better than this. A very special thing. Close to being my favourite wine so far this year.
No wait, that was the Krug I had in Feb. Or was it the 1996 Wendouree Cabernet Malbec I had last month? -

May 26, 2018 - Tyrrell's Private Bin Tasting (Hunter Valley): Toasty oak, peach, pear and lemon. Plenty of bright flavours on the palate, great fruit quality and purity. Needs more time to settle but should be very good.
