April 20, 2024 - Beautiful, ripe red apple, ripe pear, caramel, tangy aftertaste. Long finish, hautingly capturing. Still lots of life and some fruit.

January 1, 2024 - New Years 2024 : A perfect ending to a glorious night of food and wines. An obviously mature Sauternes. Typical honey suckle overlying ripe fruit (orange/tangerine) "Soft and smooth" mouth feel, plus a darker hue suggests this has some age.

January 1, 2024 - 2023 New Years Eve: Pop and pour. Definitely mature given the color and the complexity. Classic aged Sauternes. Orange rind, baking spices, good acidity. There is a bit of alcohol noted.

December 31, 2023 - New Years Eve (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): VEry dark gold color. Drank a small glass over 30 minutes. Spicy, creamed honey, orange cream, baked apple & brown sugar tart, and a bold character.

December 31, 2023 - 2023 New Years Eve Celebration! (Kevin's House): A sweet ending to a sweet tasting and sweet evening with some sweet friends!

I typically find Suduiraut pretty spotty and not always consistent. This is not as good as their 2001, but quite a bit better than their 1988! Honeyed stone fruit, some beeswax and some Meyer's lemon dominate this Sauternes. I would prefer a little more acid, as this is leaning slightly on the sweet side, but still a very tasty treat! Definitely a fitting finish to a grand get-together1

December 2, 2023 - Holding up very nicely. It's been a pleasure to visit this one multiple times. Here, the apple and apricot notes were a bit more pronounced and the acidity more mild. Paired with a clementine and almond flour cake, and that mild backdrop allowed the wine to carry the course. Mature, but delicate on the palate and very enjoyable. Last glass in the bottle enjoyed a day later with some hard cheeses, and that was a delight.

June 25, 2023 - Supposedly over the hill, but wonderful with canolis after family dinner night!

    Creme brulee, caramel, wonderful!

June 11, 2023 - Out of half bottle nice balance between sweetness and acid. Not as exciting as 2001 had recently. Would drink up

    May 20, 2023 - A Sauternes at 14.5 % ABV and all that RS!
    Colour: deep amber, bright, clear.
Nose: v full, still fresh, v Suduiraut, marmalade
Taste: med/full body, Oxford marmalade dominates, good acidity, v long finish, Oxford marmalade, spicy notes, herby notes.
Overall, this is is a stunning wine except for the alcohol. Classic Suduiraut that has aged well.
