February 2, 2024 - PnP, dark ruby, garnet rim. Deep black fruit, blackberry, plum. Some red fruit, overripe raspberry, cranberry. Fruit is ripe/overripe. Tobacco and leather, a little mocha. M+ tannin, but mellowed from age, M+ alcohol, M+ acidity all contribute to nice mouthfeel and solid structure at 9 years of age. Probably not getting any better, but will still be good for at least another year or two.

February 10, 2021 - Very impressive. While this grape is a “lighter” version used mostly (historically) for blending, this wine has such amazing depth and character. After cellaring this for 5.5 years, I decided to give it a go and am very glad I did. Drank this with a fresh plate of homemade pasta carbonara, topped with a varied mixture of hot pepper flakes, and it paired wonderfully. Terraces is a hidden gem, underrated for sure.
