February 10, 2024 - Possibly flawed, but otherwise just not great

July 8, 2023 - Another year another bottle off of one of our favorite restaurants. $34. Is totally crazy. They now know us so they opened it a few hours before we arrived. This wine is still a baby. Black as night and the nose is pure strawberries surrounded by cedar black raspberry and burnt rubber the notes of honey emerge later. No lack of fruit and still has a tannic spine that keeps this fresh. As it sat in our glasses over dinner this wine gained power. Still a few years away from being in its drinking slot. Really good tonight. I hope they have more in their cellar because I’m going to order every one I can. Sold 92.

December 20, 2022 - Similar TN as prior. This is really showing its age now though. It tasted like it could be a 2003 instead of a 2013. If drink this up soon before it falls off. Very delicious, mature profile right now.

November 20, 2022 - Another bottle - slow oxed for 8 hrs then into glasses. Needed an hour or so to come around and start to strut its stuff, but when it did -wow what a wine. Still a baby. Extremely dark and legs just paint the glass nose is full of bramblery dark fruit, plumbs, brn sugar and hot rocks. A great dose of sweetness that accompanies the finish. A solid performance.

November 8, 2022 - Lack of balance, acidic, and tart. I've had a bunch of simple Sangioveses that are much better. I've had 2 bottle and neither of them deserve the Brunello label.
