June 14, 2018 - The wine was dark ruby in colour and had and undefined, oak-dominated nose. On the palate, the wine showed oak, coffee, cocoa, espresso, vanilla, ripe red fruit, ripe strawberry, ripe raspberry, some black currant and plum as well as lots of spice, with a long but bitter finish. The medium-bodied, ripe and overoaked wine was disjointed and barely drinkable at this point. It might turn out to be an 88 point wine if you give it lots of time, but I won't score it for now. Hold.
