June 2, 2020 - Consistent with previous notes almost two years ago, but now softer and more accessible. Cherry pits, blackberries, some tar and herbs, along with tart rhubarb and bitters on the finish. Paired nicely with pizza. Drink 2020-2023. Technical score: 90. Enjoyment score: 90.

May 16, 2020 - This is our third wine from Liguria and I must say that I've had enough of these rustic, funky wines and ready to move onto Marche and then Tuscany, the next two stops on our wine tour of Italy.

This red displays the same earthiness of the Bianco and Rosato. On the lighter side -- perhaps suggestive of a Langhe Nebbiolo. Cherry is the prominent fruit flavor. Quite round in the mouth. A mild finish -- this wine display more up front than in length on the finish.

Delighted to try a new varietal -- Rossese. A pleasant experience.

May 10, 2020 - Earth, peppery, mildly funky (not brett) nose, some candied strawberry on the palate. Light in body of course, with M to M+ acid. Delicious with salty, peppery farinata and pretty good with pesto alla Genovese on pasta. Mildly rustic and old worldish but fairly simple. QPR is only average but these wines are hard to find around here so I'll take average; might repurchase. ~6/10

July 4, 2019 - Drunk on American Independence Day with grilled sausages of various types and Dutch mashed potatoes. The earthiness and cherry so typical of this Rossese in all vintages showed very well and was a great match for the food. (Very) Very Good.

March 23, 2019 - Italian night (Washington, DC): I love the brisk, spicy, red-fruited and herb aesthetic of this wine. So bright, elegant, crushable but not simple. Complex pepper, herbs, floral tones.
