December 2, 2023 - California Wine Weekend; 12/1/2023-12/3/2023 (Mos Eisley Cantina & Waterhouse Restaurant): Bright red berries, iron, sage, beef blood, bacon and blackberry all fold into this beautifully on the nose. Palate is rich and red fruited, with black cherry and iron / meat notes. Slightly hot on the back end, but overall the impression is of a terroir focused syrah that is explosive and nuanced all at once.

September 10, 2023 - Dark in color without any real sign of age
Nose initially has a hint of musty funkiness, but that is mostly gone after 5 minutes and gives way to blackberry pie or blackberry syrup with the barnyard far in the background
On the palate the wine is rich and unctuous black cherry/blackberry. a slight astringent note holds the score down for me
