    There's something that still unpleasantly assaults the palate... I honestly can't tell if it's the unintegrated acid, overectraction, or tannins that have "dissolved" by turning into to raspy chalk

    This is not so bad as to make the wine unpleasant in the glass! It's just neither a fun or interesting wine alone in the glass.

    It plays its part well alongside some room temp lamb stew

    March 1, 2020 - Nose - black cherry, black plum, earth, game, med intensity. Palate - ripe dark cherry/plum fruit, med+ acid, med tannin, med + body, med alc, meat, lavender/dried herb, cassis, crushed stone dusty, rustic tannin, toast, bitter almond, prune/raisin. Least tannic Aglianico I think I have had and only 13% alcohol. Fresh and forward drinking.
