January 7, 2024 - Nice Lirac coming into its own. When young, I thought this a bit overbearing, but now it is just fine. And still a few miles left in the tank.

December 11, 2023 - This is always good and the 2016 is no exception. Blackberries, plums and notably spicy. Drinking beautifully now and I suspect has 5+ years minimum to go.

April 9, 2023 - So well integrated now. Subtle and sodt tannins, anlittle leather and mild black fruits.

May 24, 2022 - enjoyed alongside a 2016 clos du caillou quartz and 2016 charbonniere vacqueyras cuvee speciale, this was the darkest and most concentrated of the three... dark purple and totally opaque, full on blackberry compote and earthy nose. palate equally dense and full, fruit fwd with lots of dusty notes and grippy tannin.

May 13, 2022 - First bottle of 24, bought on various moments at different wine merchants. I am so fond of this domaines wines, nowadays all made biologically. Dark brooding color and with a compelling bouquet of dark forest fruits and Mediterranean herbs. Perfect acidity and tannins that start to mellow. Good stuffing and just a tiny bit of bitterness on the finish. All in all very well balanced and just a joy to drink. Drank on its own but this wine really needs food. Very approachable. This Lirac is very well made and can compete with many a CdP.
