  October 2, 2019 - Decanted one hour ahead. Medium ruby color, showing brick at the edges. The reticent nose shows cherry and earth notes with hard spices; floral notes show up later. Medium bodied on the palate, this wine is lifted but yet round, not long on acidity. Flavors include a welcome touch of ink. Finishes fast, with light grip in very low tannins. Pleasant overall, and I will wear my reading glasses next time.

  February 28, 2018 - McCay New Tasting Room (Lodi): Spicy and somewhat varietal with a light color, this is a solid red wine that needs food.

  August 6, 2015 - Young, spicy, full of fruit and perfume. Intense orange peel aromatics good balance and very smooth in the mouth. Stunning
