  I first had this wine at the winery in 2018. It was the best of the six wines I tried there, and at $55 CAD, the most expensive. And when I saw it gets 4.6 on Vivino I was really excited to open this. But I was pretty disappointed in the end. Too much alcohol on the nose (strange for only 14% abv), pretty ordinary flavour profile, and a bitter finish. I think the 89 here on CellarTracker and the 87 from the 2017 National Wine Awards of Canada are more accurate ratings. Overall OK (not terrible), but certainly not worth $55. Bottle variation perhaps? Or maybe my palate had an off day? I hope so, C&S is one of my favourite wineries to visit and their Syrahs are among the best in the Okanagan.
  
  Also, note that the cork is a little shorter than usual, and the wine had traveled almost half way up. Drink now!

  January 26, 2020 - In your face kind of wine that tries to impress by doing too much. Over oaked and out of balance. It will suit many people’s tastes but not mine. And not worth $60! Plus I don’t like what they’ve done with the labels!

  March 29, 2019 - Full bodied an juicy. One of the top okanagan BC wines I have tried. Not sure if it has long term cellar potential but is singing right now.
