November 16, 2023 - 2014 White Burgundy Lunch (Grappa Leichhardt): Pale gold in colour, with a refined nose showing the classic RP&F honeycomb oak overlay. On the palate the wine is fleshy and agreeable, delicious but without the highlights we expect based on previous vintages. Fleshy and flashy, it is a delicious wine but lacks the cut of acidity required for old bones and greatness. Suspect RP&F are now picking riper fruit. Ready 2025 18.5.

July 30, 2019 - Quite youthful and coiled but this showed well, comparatively speaking. More harmony with significantly less new oak impression than the '14 Remoissenet Puligny Combettes. Full-bodied flavors with salty citrus, green and yellow orchard fruits with honey, fern and bits of crème brulees. Long, satisfying. with good energy and has upside potential going forward. Check in again about 3-4 years out.
