September 30, 2023 - Decanted 30 minutes as it was a bit tight on opening. Otherwise, excellent with fine rich fruit--blackberrry, strawberry, bit of plum, red fruit, dark fruit, nice undertones of earth and wood. Quite smooth tannin and balanced acidity with clean finish. Great with braised short ribs and on its own. In a good window now and should be for some time.

March 26, 2022 - Another year past. Wine still displays fresh berry compote immediately on the nose when first opened along with some alcohol and other baking spices, herbs and pepper. Color is a very dark ruby with a purplish hue to it. Tasted almost immediately to get an initial opinion. Tannins still have a bit of a grip on the fruit but loosening up well. Within the first half hour they slowly begin to let go and allowed the delicious creamy berry, stone fruit and tobacco/earth flavors to make their way onto one's palate.

June 2, 2021 - A huge with that has come together a bit since I first tried two years ago. Sweet red/bark fruit, pepper, prunes, vanilla and burnt earth. Texturally creamy with nice length. Better on night one with more of the heat coming on the second night. Needs time.
