Community Tasting Notes 4

November 3, 2006 - After giving it a few minutes to open, I was pleasantly suprised by the focus and complexity of this wine! The fruit evolves beautifully from bright cherry, raspberry, and strawberry (Dijon 115 Clone) to deep blackberry and black cherry (Swan Clone cuttings). The juicy black fruit lingers into the finish with soft chocolate notes, spice and a touch of sweet cola. Alot going on and still manages to stay focus with distinct flavors. I really liked this wine. Awesome effort.

April 14, 2006 - Fruit forward. Joshua'S nose says cherries. My 5 yr old Grandson is right.(He also informs me that Mammy his Morrocan French Grandmere, lets him dip his finger in wine to taste it.I did the same. i KNOW his mother would disapprove)The wine is a very pleasant quaffable wine without the structure required for aging. Enjoyable now.

November 3, 2005 - $34 retail. No formal note. Sampled in tasting room. I thought this was a nice, fruit driven Pinot. Showed typical Carneros fruit profile. Still, at this price I'd rather drink Burgundy any day... Maybe at $15-20 it would be a different story.
