October 12, 2023 - Fragrant nose of cherry, wood spice
Palate leads with ripe black cherry fruit and eventually strawberries, followed by briary-woody-underbrush (sous-bois). Touch of gunflint, mushroom-loamy. Salty low-med tannins, low-med acid. 13.5% Alc.
Balances interesting complexity and easy pleasure in each sip. Seems to be beginning to dry out a bit as it matures, aging into a complete and delicious wine. This is what I look for in good red Burgundy.1 person found this helpful Comment -

October 10, 2023 - Blind....Beautifully Fragrant. Spice notes. Polished. A skilled touch. Young Gevrey? Weightless sweet cherry core. Elegant. Some iron and underbrush come on... Only becomes more brilliant as it gets air. Drinking well, but a lot in reserve- It will be really good down the road.

September 4, 2023 - Weelend with Friends and Wine; 9/3/2023-9/4/2023 (Asian Spice House - Buchanan MI): Black and red cherry with lots more going on… meaty, spiced and brightly textured. Still a baby, but wonderfully tasty now as it enters its peak drinking window.

November 18, 2022 - A surprisingly seductive and approachable young red 16 unlike other red 16s I have tasted before - the word "airy" almost came to mind in addition to lovely brambly blue fruit core, lovely sap and so incredibly drinkable even at this youthful stage. Well done. To me clearly better than the Cras Roumier 14 tasted just before.
