February 24, 2024 - So I bought a cellar; 11/12/2022-12/31/2030: Popped and poured. Cork was in good condition. This bottle probably would have benefited from a decant. Was a bit musty, and had very muted fruit, that gained some heft as it sat in the glass. It was an end of the night pour, so no detailed notes. The last sip left in the bottle the next morning held up. A bit more red fruit coming through. Good, but I’d recommend a little air time before drinking.

August 9, 2023 - At the end of the road, but still fine, deep red if a bit murky; fruit is still there and it is solid; long finish; good balance.

January 6, 2022 - Big rich fruit but old now, lacking freshness or lift. The structure has largely melted away with age leaving the classic Blackberry notes, along with a touch of pepper. There is the concentration of fruit you expect from an Aussie shiraz but without the lift needed to provide much interest. Medium finish, little complexity. Drink up, gift or sell.

July 12, 2019 - Rich and intense. Velvety and silky tannin in fruity palate. Moderated oak. A well-made but uneventful Oz Shiraz.

January 7, 2017 - Still excellent. Fruity nose of blackness. Creamy black fruit with layers of spice - nutmeg, cinnamon. Silky feel, coats the mouth. Fine tannins, integrated and smooth. Medium finish. Yum.
