November 2, 2018 - Last bottle off a restaurant cellar, from memory. In impeccable state, fine nose, which showed signs of evolution, going in the direction of tobacco and roasted coffee, but not excessively so and remained fresh.
The palate was lively and silky. A real treat.

July 19, 2018 - Not rated as it is tasted at a restaurant
Transparent ruby with brown hue and fine sediments
Nose of flowers, dark cherries and tobacco at first, more savoury and little nose after an hour in glass
On the palette, it shows tart cherries and soft tannin

February 27, 2016 - Q1 Tasting - Cabernet Franc wines (Our Apt): Wine #5: Drank as part of a blind tasting of Cabernet Francs. For the first time in the wines I started to pick up a touch of that cough syrup flavor, more bell pepper, a lot more vegetal than the wines that came before it (and more in line with what I expected from a CF). This wine was opened maybe an hour or so before consumption and could possibly have done better with earlier as it was still evolving quite a bit in the glass. Interesting as we had three other Catherine & Pierre Bretons in the tasting although from different vineyards (Beaumont & Nuits d'Ivresse). The 1998 Beaumont tasted many years older than this wine which was still fairly fresh even with the age. (1 penny)

December 25, 2014 - Such freshness to the two bottles of this wine we drunk at Christmas. Each took a couple of hours after being decanted to show well. Forest floor, cinnamon, elegantly textured, the tannins resolved, a faint trace of vanilla.
