December 30, 2012 - powerfull expression of Bandol, but somehow lacking complexity of wines like Tempier; a very nice glass nevertheless. good acidity levels and not too high levels of alcohol provide the necessary balance. at peak but will keep for some years. I recommend decanting for up to 2 hours in advance. lots of sediment. cork in good shape.

May 29, 2011 - Tempier Tasting @ Joost B. (Netherlands): Feral and brutal on the nose. Smoke, minerals, licorice, lavas, chocolate and coffee. Lots of concentration, dark, brooding and tannic. Powerful wine, little finesse. 16.5/20

February 29, 2008 - very dark, still giving an almost black impression, amazing color! fine provence nose, thyme, herbs; good acidity to match the tannins. elegant yet with power. good for drinking now but will easily stay alive for another 10-15 years
