November 20, 2012 - Dinner at New Zealand's finest importer of French Wine (Grey Lynn, Auckland, New Zealand): Stunning wine of great complexity and class. At 16 years of age, this wine was in no way tired and in fact had a gorgeous creamy balance aligned with a perfectly judged acid balance to keep the wine in focus. Mistaken for a great white Bordeaux, this wine certainly opened my eyes to the age worthiness of Condrieu and its potential to develop positively in the bottle. Perhaps the high acid nature of the vintage contributed to the positive evolution?
