Community Tasting Notes 5

July 5, 2022 - Lemon and a touch of dry honey on nose. Fresh with high acidity
On palate, lots of lemon, some floral notes

Made for the long haul, still some way to go!!

March 8, 2020 - Pale gold, nose of grapefruit and lemon to start and then it gives way to a creamy, apricot note with some herbaceousness. To taste the wine has searing acidity but intense flavours of grapefruit, lemon, limes, honey to support plus white pepper, some spice pleasant heat which lasts long after the wine has been swallowed. My suspicion is this wine could be cellared for some time. Excellent and superb value at £12 from Majestic.

November 29, 2019 - High in acidity, could take a year or two more of cellaring to come together more.

September 8, 2019 - Probably unfair to open this straight after drinking Francois Chidaine’s Le Bouchet 2014. Perfectly respectable chenin blanc, but in comparison to the Chidaine it comes across as dry, high in acidity, a little thin. Not finding it difficult to pass on a second glass.

June 4, 2019 - Clear yellow. Pleasant, developed nose with notes of wool, citrus, white flowers and a touch of honey. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, balanced, developed, with nice acidity, some minerality and notes of wool, lime, yellow apples and a touch of honey. Has good length! Good wine, I like it!
