Community Tasting Notes 30

June 7, 2023 - PnP. Ruby colored with a visible garnet hue. Looks like a quite old wine.
Good depth on the nose, a fair amount of funk, forest floor, tea leaf, sous bois, mushrooms, after twenty minutes aeration in the glass herbal notes came out (100 % whole-cluster fermentation here).
The palate follows the nose. Light to medium body. There is still a fair degree of tannins and acidity that worked really well with Beef Stroganoff and vegetable casserole.
Nice pleasant food-friendly wine slightly on a downward slope.

September 30, 2022 - Tasted after a half hour decant.
Pale to medium ruby in colour with a slight garnet hue.
Aromas of funky earth/forest floor, potpourri, cotton candy & faint strawberry.
On the palate, light to medium bodied red fruit, red cherry/strawberry/cranberry, floral note, medium to high acidity, low soft tannins with a medium to long finish to spice & pepper.
Light, pleasant & elegant in style but perhaps fading a bit. Drink up!

January 29, 2021 - Pale to medium ruby in colour with restrained aromas of earth/forest floor & red fruit.
On the palate, light bodied red fruit, red cherry/strawberry/cranberry, subtle earth/minerality, with high acidity & low soft tannins.
The wine is crisp & fresh with a medium finish ending in spice.
