April 24, 2024 - A good wine, but a bit underwhelming overall. Beautiful aromas and dark berry fruits and extraction, but the energy that typifies this brand was missing. Day one, the wine showed restrained, it never really opened up 90+ points. Day two, was the best, it had opened up a bit, but not to the degree that I would have anticipated, 92+ points, day three the wine regressed. I would recommend a very long decant for this bottling. It could just be one of those stubborn vintages that requires long cellaring.

November 5, 2023 - Came across some bottles of the 2018 vintage that I’m thinking about buying so decided to pop my last bottle of the 2017 vintage - I’m still a little on the fence with this wine. I believe the regular Myriad G3 cab is more my style. Day one, decanted for a couple hours but it came across rather rich/ripe and over the top for me so put it away for day three. Improvement on day three as it settled down some. Dark ruby fruit - dark cherry, currants, and blackberry. Really smooth mid-palate with a nice purity but again fairly rich. Nice flavors of cassis, baking spices/licorice, cocoa, and a graphite component. Fairly long finish. Clearly a high quality cab, however, once again I believe the regular Myriad G3 cab is more my style. 100% cab.

September 23, 2023 - Fantastic aromatics, licorice and red fruit, savory on the palate, some tobacco, overall not jammy. Decanted for an hour, enjoyed over another 2 which was not enough really but it was too nice to drink slower.

April 22, 2023 - Still working my way through these ‘17s. The fruit is still ripe and delicious and plenty of spices. But the high alcohol just did not appeal to me and made it hard to rate this any higher.
